1. Security measures (very important)

In order to take full advantage of all the functions available on the device, please read this manual carefully.

Caution: Avoid opening the device if you are not a specialist at the risk of damaging the components or electrocuting yourself !!!

Avoid immersing the device in water or exposing it to an intense heat source.

Be sure to follow the polarity during installation.

Avoid shocks

Make sure that the energy source respects the maximum voltage and current indicated on the box

2. Installation

Identify the “In” and the “Out”
Switch off the energy source (the meter, generator, battery, solar panel or others)
Connect the output (s) to the equipment to be controlled (outlet, fan, TV, air conditioner, etc.)
Connect the “In” to the power source.

3. Getting started

  • Have an Android phone of minimum xxx generation
  • Go to Google Play Store
  • Download and install the applicationYoupiLab Electric
  • Make sure that the phone’s Bluetooth is not already connected to other equipment (speaker, earpiece, radio, etc.)
  • Associate the Bluetooth of the phone with the Bluetooth of the device (The default name of the device is SEB-xx. The default password is 1234).

Before continuing, make sure that the phone’s Bluetooth is activated !!!

Launch the application
Go to the “Dashboard” menu
Choose language (French or English)
Go to the “Connection” menu
Search for SEB-xx. Connect by pressing the “connect” button next to SEB-xx
Follow the following steps:
3.1. Setting the device clock
Go to the “Settings” menu
Go to “Modify system date and time”, define current date and time (For correct operation of the system, insert the exact time and date), then validate.

The system will ask for the Application password before saving the change. The default Application password is: 123456

Check the “remember password” box. If not checked, the system will ask for the password for each operation.

After this step, you will be automatically disconnected from the YoupiLab SEB system.

3.2. Changing the device name

Go to the “Connection” menu
Search for SEB-xx. Connect by pressing the “connect” button next to SEB-xx.
Go to the “Settings” menu
Go to “Change device name”
Define a name (e.g. home, residence, office, hotel, camp, village, etc.)
Validate

This name becomes the name of the device. But it does not become effective until the second reconnection. Indeed, on the first reconnection, the phone still displays SEB-xx.

After this step, you will be automatically disconnected from the YoupiLab SEB system.

3.3. Changing the Bluetooth password of SEB-xx

Go to the “Connection” menu
Search for SEB-xx. Connect by pressing the “connect” button next to SEB-xx.
Go to the “Settings” menu
Go to “Change Bluetooth password” (from SEB-xx)
Validate

Please note: a telephone that has connected to the Bluetooth of SEB-xx at least once can still connect to the Bluetooth of SEB-xx even if the Bluetooth password is changed. However, it will not be able to do anything on the system if it does not have access to the Application password (see below).

3.4 Changing the Application password

Go to the “Connection” menu
Find the name given to the device in step 2.2. Connect by pressing the “connect” button next to this name.
Go to the “Settings” menu
Go to “Change Application Password”. The password size must be between 6 and 10 digits (the system only accepts digits).
Validate

3.5 Modification of output names

The system defaults to Exit-1, Exit-2, … .. There is the possibility of renaming the outputs according to the equipment or apartment connected to it.

Go to the “Connection” menu
Find the name given to the device in step 2.2. Connect by pressing the “connect” button next to this name.
Go to the “Settings” menu
Go to “Edit exit name”
Select an exit from the list and assign a new name
Validate

3.6. Define the time delay (resumption of operation after power failure)

Go to the “Settings” menu
Go to Exit delay
Select each output from the list and assign a delay in minutes (maximum = 240 minutes)
Validate

4. Programming

Have an Android phone of minimum xxx generation
Go to Google Play Store
Download and install the YoupiLab Electric application
Make sure the phone’s Bluetooth is not already connected to other equipment (speaker, headset, radio, etc.)
Pair the phone’s Bluetooth with the device’s Bluetooth (If they were not changed during installation, the default name of the device is SEB-xx and the default password is 1234).

Launch the application
Go to the “Dashboard” menu
Choose language (French or English)
Go to the “Connection” menu
Search for SEB-xx. Connect by pressing the “connect” button next to SEB-xx

If the connection is successful, the operator is redirected to the Dashboard.

There are four modes of use or operation of the system:

4.1. Manual mode

This mode allows you to turn on and off the equipment connected to it.

Click on the equipment you want to control. A small menu will appear.
Click ON to turn it on or OFF to turn it off.

Note: if you check the “Continue after return of electricity” box before pressing ON or OFF, the equipment will continue with its current state (ON or OFF) after electricity is returned.

Example:

First case :

You select the equipment “air conditioner” for example
You check the box “Continue after return of electricity”
You click on ON
There is a power outage for xx minutes.
Electricity is restored

Result: the air conditioner will turn on automatically

Second case:

You select the equipment “air conditioner” for example
You do not check the box “Continue after return of electricity”
You click on ON
There is a power outage for xx minutes.
Electricity is restored

Result: the air conditioner will not turn on automatically

4.1 Calendar mode

This mode allows you to program the equipment according to a predefined schedule (tasks).

How do I create a task?

Check or not “Continue after return of electricity” (see operation in section 3.1)
Select the equipment or output that you want to control
Choose the desired state (ON or OFF)
Choose task start time (DE)
Choose end time (A)
If you want this task to be repeated, check the execution days

Note: the execution of any task stops at midnight. In case the task should exceed midnight, divide it into two sub-tasks, that is to say from… H..mn to 23h59 and from 00H00 to… H..mn. So, after the first subtask, click on “Add a new task”, then define the second subtask.

Example: wanting to keep a lamp on from 7:30 p.m. to 6:15 a.m.

Check or not “Continue after return of electricity” (see operation in section 3.1)
Select the equipment or output that you want to control
Choose the desired state (ON or OFF)
Choose the start time of the first subtask: 7:30 p.m.
Choose the end time of the first subtask: 11:59 p.m.
Click on Add a new task
Check or not “Continue after return of electricity”
Choose the desired state (ON or OFF)
Choose the start time of the second subtask: 12:00 AM
Choose the end time of the second subtask: 6:15 am
(Add other tasks if necessary)
If you want this task to be repeated, check the execution days
Click on Finalize

The maximum of tasks per equipment or per output is 6.

4.3 Clock mode

This mode allows the equipment to change state after a given duration.

Choose ON or OFF state
Choose equipment or outlet
Define the duration: in hours and / or minutes
Validate

Example:

First case: if you want an iron to work for 30 minutes to switch off, you will have to follow the following steps:

Check or not “Continue after return of electricity” (see operation in section 3.1)
Choose ON
Choose the outlet or the equipment (iron)
Write 30 in the Minutes box
Validate

Result: the iron will turn off after 30 minutes of use

Second case: if you want a fridge to remain off for 1.5 hours before turning on, you will need to follow the following steps:

Check or not “Continue after return of electricity” (see operation in section 3.1)
Choose OFF
Choose the outlet or the equipment (fridge)
Write 1 in the Time box
Write 30 in the Minutes box
Validate

Result: the fridge will start after 1h30 minutes.

4.4. Cyclic mode

This mode allows a device to turn on and off at defined time intervals repeatedly.

5. Audit file

The history of all the operations carried out is saved in this file.

To access it, click on the Menu icon, then on the Load audit file button. The display may take up to two minutes depending on the size of the file (the number of operations previously performed).

The file also records the hours of re-ignition after a power outage, as well as the MAC address of all devices (phone, tablet, etc.) that have connected.

6. Audit file

If the password is lost or forgotten, reset the system.

Warning: to do this, call an electrician because it is a potentially dangerous operation with risk of electric shock.

Keep the device (YoupiLab SEB-xx) powered up
Open the case
Press (long press) the Reset button until you hear a beep. This can take 5 seconds.
If this does not succeed, switch off the device for 5 minutes. Switch it back on and press the Reset button for 5 seconds.

Result: The device uses the default password (1234) and the default name (YoupiLab SEB-xx). The operator will have to resume the processes in chapter 2 (Getting started).

NB: resetting the system does not affect the audit file. The latter remains and even records the reset operation.

7. Miscellaneous information

The system works within a radius of 30 meters in an open space and less in a space where there are obstacles.

New programming on equipment (fridge, air conditioner, TV, etc.) erases any previous programming on this specific equipment.

A setting of the clock of the device being manipulated disrupts all the programming carried out so far.

The device contains a CMOS battery which has a lifespan of approximately 3 years. In the event of repeated malfunction, consider having it replaced by an electrician. This battery is located inside the case (YoupiLab SEB-xx).
